RBTs bring one arrest, 17 notices

ROBINA police and the Gold Coast Road Policing Unit have conducted extensive roadside breath and drug testing on motorists in Robina, Varsity Lakes and Burleigh Heads. Police arrested one person and issued 17 infringeme­nt notices from more than 1300 RBTs. Senior Sargeant Andrew Frick said motorists needed to remember that breath and drug testing could happen any time. “Police consider traffic offences of all types a high priority,” he said.
