MARGOT’S FAMILY HOLIDAY
A-LIST Gold Coast actress Margot Robbie has been holidaying in Hawaii and enjoying a supporting role – at her best friend’s wedding.
The Suicide Squad and Wolf of Wall Street star was maid of honour for her friends Nicholas Chalmers and Julia Koenig’s wedding on the island of Kauai.
Gold Coasters Chalmers, an artist, and former model Koenig were among the small group of family and friends who watched Robbie, 26, wed British filmmaker Tom Ackerley in Byron in December.
Robbie and Ackerley were joined by the actress’s mum, Sarie Kessler, from Southport and Melbourne-based brother Cameron Robbie in Hawaii for an extended holiday as part of the celebrations.
“Married the most incredible woman I’ve ever met and couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love and well wishes from friends and family around the world and those who were with us to celebrate on the day xxx #theluckychalms," Chalmers captioned a picture of himself and his bride posted on Instagram.
Robbie also shared a photo on Instagram of herself in Koenig’s bridal party on the way to the ceremony at Wai’oli Hui is Church.
Robbie recently wrapped filming her role in the biopic I, Tonya, about US figure skater Tonya Harding.
