Mii misses the Point

THE Mii group, linked to former Sheraton Mirage “overseers” Peter Madrers and Paul Brinsmead, apparently had ambitions last year of amalgamating the Pacific Point highrise at the northern end of Surfers Paradise.

Property sources say another long-time developer got in the way by tying up one of the apartments. Pacific Point’s now under the thumb of Chinese billionaire Tony Fung. He signed a contract to purchase the property last year and has floated plans for a six-star hotel on the site.
