Dog bites girl on face

A TEENAGE girl bitten in the face by a dog at a park on the Gold Coast was taken to hospital overnight.

Paramedics were called to Damian Leeding Memorial Park at Oxenford to reports of a dog biting a young girl on the face just before 6pm.

It is unknown how the incident occurred.

She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The matter has been referred on to Gold Coast City Council’s animal management for investigation.
