“There are plenty of gold medal events in the next ticket phase, but remember all the great athletes have to qualify through the preliminaries so some of those sessions are worth considering also.”
Commonwealth Games Minister Kate Jones said anyone who missed out on firstround tickets should take advantage of the second tranche in July.
GOLDOC CEO Mark Peters said further analysis of which events had the most requests would be done in coming weeks.

The Games will be held on the Gold Coast from April 4-15.
