Fame game is kids’ aim

-

GONE are the days when children dreamt of becoming doctors and nurses – today’s kids want to become YouTubers and vloggers.

More than three-quarters of youngsters say they’d consider a career in online videos, according to a survey of 1000 children aged six to 17.

The research by travel firm First Choice revealed that 34 per cent of children would like to be a YouTube personality, while one in five wanted their own channel. Traditional career choices, such as teaching, were less popular.

The research revealed children would rather learn how to use video editing software instead of studying subjects such as maths and history.
