Nacho dip fix fatal
ONE of at least 10 people apparently sickened by nachocheese dip sold at a California petrol station has died.
Health officials confirmed the death but gave no other details. The illnesses appeared to have been caused by botulism carried in the dip.
The California Department of Public Health said the container and cheese dip were removed on May 5 and that authorities believed the contamination posed no further risk to the public.
Botulism can lead to paralysis, breathing difficulty and sometimes death.
