Benji’s steady hand Veteran backed to steer Broncos during the Origin grind

from injuries, Hunt expects them to take some time to find rhythm but is confident they will work well together.

“We’ve done a fair bit of training together for the last few weeks because we’ve both been injured,” he said.

“There’s obviously a fair bit of rust there but we’ll work on that.”

The additions of Marshall, Hunt and Waddell are not the only changes to Brisbane for this week.

Jordan Kahu will move to fullback to cover the absence of Darius Boyd, with Jonus Pearson and David Mead to start on the wings.

Korbin Sims will also move to lock while Jaydn Su’A will start and George Fai and Jai Arrow will come onto the bench.

There was a slight scare for the Broncos yesterday after centre James Roberts went down during training and limped from the field.

However, it is understood the flyer lost his toenail and it was not a repeat of his recent ankle injury.

Roberts is expected to be fine for Saturday.
