Girls are on the money
TEENAGE girls manage money better than boys, a global test has revealed.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development test of the financial literacy of 15-year-olds reveals Australian girls outperform boys – but boys did better in other countries such as Italy, China and the United States.
One in five Australian teens flunked the test, which asked them to interpret pay packets, compare prices and understand terms such as “invoice” and “bank error”.
