Free time at the wheel

-

ELANORA police and PCYC are bringing free learner driving program Braking the Cycle to the southern Gold Coast.

The program will help young people, particularly those disengaged or disadvantaged, to amass enough hours to receive their driver’s licence.

It is hoped the program will be running by September.

Police are looking for volunteers to help with the program and businesses to provide sponsorship. Volunteers will need to have or be able to obtain a Blue Card and will undergo an induction process. There are no special skills needed, except a bit of patience.

Phone Senior Constable Kurt Foessel at Elanora Police on 5569 8488.
