Wu too good at world trial

TRIPLE Olympian Melissa Wu won the women’s platform synchro final with Taneka Kovchenko at the aquatics world championships selection trials in Sydney.

Wu, who has won three world championship synchro medals since debuting in 2007, has been in strong form, winning silver in the platform final at last month’s world series event in Canada.

Wu and Kovchenko finished on 331.68 points, well ahead of Emily Meaney and Brittany O’Brien.
