‘Stab’ boy given bail

A 12-YEAR-old boy accused of stabbing a 10-year-old in inner Sydney has been issued a court notice over the alleged assault of a teacher, a court has heard.

The boy, who cannot be named, was granted bail yesterday after he allegedly left a 2.5cm-long laceration on the younger boy’s chest during an intended robbery in Waterloo on Saturday. The Bidura Children’s Court heard the boy had also been accused of assaulting a teacher and should not be allowed bail to his normal home, where numerous other children live.
