Driver’s road to recovery
SEBASTIEN Bourdais has been released from hospital after a crash in Indy 500 qualifying last weekend left him with multiple fractures in his pelvis and a fractured right hip.
The French driver tweeted a picture of himself leaving an Indianapolis hospital on crutches.
Bourdais is likely to miss the rest of the season, though he tweeted he was “looking forward to getting back in the car”.
James Davison will drive his car in the Indy 500 on Monday (Qld time).
