Hayne bid for troops

NSW superstar Jarryd Hayne is hoping to replicate the iconic moment he celebrated with Blatchys Blues fans in the series decider in 2014.

Hayne urged supporters in Queensland to bring their pride and passion to Suncorp Stadium for State of Origin series opener in Brisbane next Wednesday.

“It’s amazing … that moment will live in my memory forever,” Hayne said.

“To go out and celebrate with the Blatchys Blues in 2014 after so many years without a win was special.

“To have the Blatchys Blues there in Brisbane and their support means everything to us. They ride the wave with us and it would be great to be able to celebrate a win with them like we did in 2014.”

Now living in the Sunshine State, Hayne said he had been surprised by the amount of NSW supporters in Queensland who had come along to signing sessions for the Gold Coast Titans and urged them to come out in force.
