One Nation candidate for Broadwater Brenden Ball, who will oppose Mr Crisafulli at the next state election, said the people of Broadwater would have questions about the win.

But Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate congratulated Mr Crisafulli and said he would make a great contribution to the city.
“I look forward to working with him,” he said. “I think he’s a very talented person and we welcome that talent to enhance the cause of the Gold Coast further.”
