Tweed MP Geoff Provest said while there was plenty of work to be done to get the region back on its feet, reopening Mt Warning was a big step forward for tourism in the area.

“It’s like the centrepiece of the national parks there.
“We are open for business, we are all back to normal.”
Destination Tweed CEO Bill Tatchell said the reopening of Mt Warning was a win for local tourism operators.
“It is a major drawcard,” he said. “Opening it back up is fantastic for our accommodation operators, especially the cafes and eateries along Mt Warning Road.”
