Police appeal for help over missing girl, 12

POLICE have renewed their appeal for the public’s assistance after a young girl was reported missing from Southport on Sunday evening.

The 12-year-old girl (pictured) was last seen about 5pm by a family member walking along George St in Southport.

A police spokespers­on said the girl had been seen earlier in the day at the Broadwater Parklands between 11am and 1pm.

It is believed she frequented Australia Fair and was known to use bus services.

Police are concerned for her welfare due to her young age.

She is described as being of caucasian appearance with a slim build, blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jumper and denim shorts.
