Lucky escape as boy flung off water slide

-

HORRIFIC footage shows a 10-year-old boy being hurled across concrete after flying off a three-storey slide at the opening of a new water park in the US.

In the video, the boy shoots out of the Emerald Plunge slide at The Wave water park in Dublin, California, which had been open for just 90 minutes, before being flung over the edge of the slide on his back.

He then skidded along the concrete.

According to the East Bay Times, the boy was “shaken up” after receiving a scratched shoulder but unharmed.

The park closed the Emerald Plunge ride after the incident, which was captured by a photographer attending its grand opening.
