Long wait for top job

ANSELL has declared chief executive Magnus Nicolin will continue to lead the slimmeddown business until he retires at the end of the 2021 financial year.

The company, which last week announced the $US600 million ($A806 million) sale of its condom business, said yesterday that it was well advanced in identifying potential internal candidates to replace Mr Nicolin.

But those candidates will have to wait more than four years before they have any prospect of getting the top job.
