THE Fair Work Ombudsman has 26 investigations running into the alleged underpayment of workers at Domino’s Pizza outlets, a Senate hearing has been told.

Officials say there are about 10 new investigations into franchises since the last time they appeared before a Senate committee.

“We are at the moment, in a very forensic way and using the evidence-gathering powers currently available to us under the Act, we are seeking to assess precisely what’s gone on,” Ombudsman Natalie James said yesterday.
