ANZ to rely on analyst

ANZ has hired JP Morgan banking analyst Scott Manning as chief financial officer for its Australia business.

Mr Manning will also be CFO for ANZ’s digital division, reporting to deputy group chief financial officer Shane Buggle, from August 1.

Mr Buggle said ANZ hoped to make use of Mr Manning’s ability to challenge conventional thinking. “Scott is well known for not only asking probing questions but for also having a deep and considered knowledge of the banking industry,” he said.
