Slain girl’s bomb fear
A MELBOURNE schoolgirl killed when Islamic State bombed a Baghdad ice cream parlour told her family before she left she was scared of bombs.
Zynab Al-Harbiya also told classmates she was excited for the trip, which ended when a bomb ripped through the shop early on Tuesday morning.
The 12-year-old’s mother and uncles were wounded in the blast as they broke their Ramadan fast with ice cream. The girl had been at Sirius College in Broadmeadows for just three months before flying with her family to see her ailing grandfather.
