The Origin fade-out

WHAT I HATE THERE has been plenty of debate around the impact of State of Origin on the NRL competition.

And if the time has come to give some serious consideration to playing Origin at the end of the NRL season.

There has been plenty of talk about this, with Cowboys coach Paul Green going as far as to come up with a rep footy blueprint – one that does not rob the competition of its best talent.

Take the Titans, for example. They lost Nathan Peats in the end after his strong Blues debut. Jarryd Hayne was not up to his usual efforts.

And yeah... the Cowboys were without their stars. It left the shell of an NRL game that promised so much more.
