Labor coy on release

THE government cannot say whether it will release a report into public consultation into development of The Spit before the state election.

More than 6500 submissions were made around the general future use of public land and the ASF proposal for a casino and resort.

Philip Park, the 6ha site of the council’s $170-450 million cruise ship terminal proposal, was included by the state during the final days of consultation, which closed two months ago.

Staff of Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, State Development Minister Anthony Lineham and his department were unable to say when the public would see the results of the consultation, performed by consultant Brian Donaldson.
