SHANNON Noll has stamped out online speculation around his role in a viral ‘shoey’ video.

Instagram user Sophie Talbot posted a clip of a shirtless Noll pouring beer into a sneaker, which a woman then drinks. Noll is heard christening it as a “shoey for Shanno”.

Noll’s promoter Rick Szabo said the video was filmed after the Australian Idol star’s show at the Parkwood Tavern on the Gold Coast on Friday night.

“Shannon had his shirt off because he was soaking wet from the performance,” Szabo clarified.

“He was towelling off and going to get a clean shirt and there were a group of fans backstage – he loves meeting his fans, he always makes time for them. “One girl had a specific request to get a picture of him pouring the beer in the boot for her local female touch football team. Shannon gratefully obliged.”

One fan who was backstage defended the singer.

Muthaterrezza posted “Wow ... I was there and he had the decency to spend time talking to all of us and to (fulfil) the requests made by all.“ A FORMER coal miner who has been diagnosed with black lung disease is suing a group of Queensland mining companies for $2 million.
