@ThomasBoswell1 bit of work but he is ready to go and will play his first game back for us it will be terrific.”

Draftees Ben Ainsworth and Jack Bowes were among those to return from injury via the reserves last weekend and Primus said their potential inclusion would be weighed up.

Gold Coast play Hawthorn on Saturday in their only MCG game this year as the Suns try to keep their finals hopes alive following their three-point win over West Coast on Saturday.

They beat Hawthorn by 86 points in Round 3 and the Victorian side is coming off a loss to Port Adelaide where they went goalless in the first half.

Primus said Gold Coast were keen observers of the Round 10 game and ready to implement similar strategies.

“You can definitely take (a lot from) the way Port Adelaide played them,” he said.

“We played them a few weeks ago and they gave us a lesson in how hard they are at the footy, how well they defend and how quickly they move the ball.”
