Dog falls down cliff
RESCUERS were forced to abandon efforts to save a family dog stranded at the bottom of a Currumbin cliff last night.
The pet dog fell down the steep incline on Reynolds Drive yesterday afternoon, leaving its owners distraught.
RSPCA ambulance officers and firefighters arrived on the scene but couldn’t rescue the dog because of the fading light.
“The owner’s of the dog are here, but we may have to get it at first light,” the RSPCA spokesperson said.
Residents said the dog had been missing for sometime before it was found at the bottom of a cliff. RSPCA will resume rescue operations at 7am.
