Kyle tackles heart of issue
OLYMPIC champion Kyle Chalmers plans to be back in the pool within two weeks after successful heart surgery in Adelaide yesterday.
The 18-year-old has had an abnormally fast heart rate which interrupted training since diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia as a child. He will miss next month’s world championships in Budapest.
“He wants to try to be back in the pool in the next couple of weeks and then crack on for the Commonwealth Games,” manager Andrew Gibbs said.
