Simmons to stay sidelined

BEN Simmons won’t play in this season’s Summer League, according to Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo.

The Australian point forward, No.1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, has yet to debut after a fracture in his right foot on the last day of training camp.

With all signs pointing to Simmons’ foot having recovered, Colangelo has taken the precaution of keeping him, along with injury-prone centre, Joel Embiid, out of the July events.
