BIKINI GIRLS ITSY-BITSY BRILLIANT

-

It follows Gold Coast girls taking first, second and third in March at the Maxim contest and Gold Coaster Charlotte Cushing winning Miss V8s late last year.

Miss Timms said girls living on the Coast tended to have a more relaxed and fun approach to contests.

“We are just more comfortable here on stage,” she said. “Plus we are not used to wearing shoes and sleeves, a bikini is very comfortable for us.”

For winning, 24-year-old Miss Rogers will fly to the Dominican Republic to represent Australia at the Swimsuit USA International Model Search.

She said Miss Hawaiian Tropics was only her second contest. “I just enjoy it up on stage, people want to see you having fun, you don’t want to take it too seriously.”
