Girl among raid arrests

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was among seven people arrested on drugs charges after a police raid at a Helensvale house.

The girl is believed to live at the property and a small quantity of cannabis was allegedly found in her room. She will appear in court later this month.

A 27-year-old man accused of flushing “items” down the toilet during Wednesday’s raid was granted bail yesterday.

Damon Jock Currie, of Beaudesert, appeared in Southport Magistrates Court charged with offences including possession of ammunition, restricted drugs and dangerous drugs.

Two grams of MDMA, a quantity of a blue liquid suspected of being MDMA, 50g of cannabis, 130g of methamphetamines and $9200 were also allegedly found at the Glenwater Cres property.
