Kingscliff auction what doc ordered

-

TWO Kingscliff properties – one once earmarked for the second stage of Kingscliff Central – will go under the hammer later this month.

The 585sq m single-level property at 82 Marine Pde is owned by Virginia Wyton, wife of retired doctor Frank Wyton, and was home to Dr Wyton’s practice for more than 30 years.

In 2009 Kingscliff Central Pty Ltd, which developed the $15 million Kingscliff Central office and retail complex at 11-13 Pearl St, applied for approval for a three-storey building at 82 Marine Pde. The building was to form the second stage of its flagship project.

Dr Wyton purchased an 89sq m office at Kingscliff Central for $412,500 in 2010 to serve as his new premises. But in 2011 the Kingscliff Central Pty Ltd went into liquidation and the project was canned.

First National Commercial Gold Coast agent Byron Glen said Dr Wyton has decided to cut ties with both properties following his retirement.

He said the property at 82 Marine Pde is one of the last undeveloped sites in the Kingscliff CBD.

Mr Glen said it enjoys a prime location opposite the Kingscliff Central Park, which is under construction.

“It is the most awesome property right in the heart of the commercial district,” he said.

An auction for both properties will be held at 82 Marine Pde at 1pm on June 22.
