Bell ringing for eager tenants

-

CLARENCE Property is a step closer to the “full house” sign at Bell Central shopping centre in Mudgeeraba.

It follows a $350,000 renovation undertaken by the Ballina-based company, which purchased Bell Central for $13.5 million in August, 2015.

Jetts Fitness is the latest tenant to sign on, taking a fiveyear lease on a 300sq m space.

It joins a 2200sq m Coles supermarket, BWS, Commonwealth Bank, Mortgage Choice, medical centre and pharmacy, two food outlets and hair salon.

Jetts Fitness Mudgeeraba franchise owner Simon Pickrell sees Bell Central as the ideal location for the company’s 12th Gold Coast outlet.

“There are no other 24hour, full-service gymnasiums in the Mudgeeraba region, so there was a real gap in the market in terms of catering to people who don’t want to travel to Robina or Varsity Lakes to train,” he said

“We had been searching for a spot in Mudgeeraba and it had been hard to find somewhere suitable. We were very impressed with the renovation at Bell Central and when a tenancy became available, we jumped at the chance.”

Jetts is due to open next month after a fitout.

Clarence Property managing director Peter Fahey said the new tenancy is part of a plan to turn Bell Central into a “one-stop shopping centre”.

“Jetts complements our existing offering of grocery, health, finance, beauty and food retailers and provides a service that is much-needed in the area,” he said.

Bell Central is located on a 8030sq m site at 1 Bell Place.
