Car bursts into flames

A MAN in his 60s suffered minor burns to his hands after his car caught on fire at a Caltex service station in Helensvale yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the service station on Helensvale Rd just before noon. A QFES spokeswoman said they found a car on fire which she said was “well involved.”

The Caltex service station closed for several hours while firefighters were putting out the blaze.
