Schapelle’s parole book sells for $20k
THE winning bid for Schapelle Corby’s parole book hit $20,100 yesterday with the convicted Gold Coast drug smuggler using the money to raise funds for a childrescue charity.
Corby’s parole book had a total of 123 bids on eBay, with the winner of the bid remaining anonymous.
The auction had been going for the past week.
All proceeds made from the sale will go to Project Rescue Children (PRC), a child-rescue charity run by Adam Whittington.
Mr Whittington was the chief planner of the botched 60 Minutes child snatch scandal where he failed to rescue Sally Faulkner’s children, Noah and Lahela. Mr Whittington was freed months after he was arrested and held in a Lebanese prison.
He then set up the Australian arm of Project Rescue Children on the Gold Coast.
On Instagram, Mr Whittington described her donation as “amazing”.
