Meeka’s the top dog with winning leather look

-

PIN UP girl and poodle pamperer Shelyce Jiranek said her pup winning the Cooly Rocks On Poodle Parade yesterday was like “winning the lottery”.

The 27-year-old from Eight Mile Plains said she had spent hours grooming her poodle labrador cross named Meeka, 7, in the lead up to the competition.

“Yesterday we decided to have a dog day so we worked on Meeka,” Ms Jiranek said.

“I was sewing her leather jacket all last night.”

Meeka was awarded best on show after facing stiff competition from about 10 other dogs.

“I can’t believe it, it feels like I won the lottery,” she said.

Winning the competition means Ms Jiranek and Meeka will feature in marketing material for next year’s event.
