Winten to sell off site

SYDNEY’S Winten Group, hard on the heels of getting approval for a 47-level Main Beach tower nicknamed the Blade Runner, is believed to be poised to market the site.

The five-title holding, between Peak and Woodroffe avenues, cost Winten $10.3 million, the bulk of that going to entrepreneurial veteran businessman David Baird.

The Winten approval is for a building with both hotel rooms and serviced and residential apartments.

The Winten Property Group was founded in 1972 by Garry Rothwell.
