Burleigh Heads light rail option to head down Connor Street would be a wrecking ball for Burleigh small-business owners. Planners should consider the dreadful disruption to businesses at Southport & Surfers Paradise when light rail was under construction. Currently at Rozelle in Sydney, where light rail is also under construction, small business is down 40 per cent with trading. People are having to remortgage their homes to stay afloat.
