Scherian can see the top

SUNSHINE Coast centre Laura Scherian may be small in stature but she never stopped dreaming big.

On Saturday night, the 28-yearold’s journey from scrapheap to the top of the mountain will be complete if the Lightning win the Super Netball grand final against the GWS Giants.

The 167cm tall Scherian, unwanted by the Firebirds in 2011, has plied her trade with the Queensland Fusion in the second-tier ANL ever since and was the last player signed to the Sunshine Coast’s main roster.
