Title: Killswitch Author: Michael Adams Publisher: Scholastic Australia

KILLSWITCH is an thrilling novel by Michael Adams, the author of such popular books as WipeOut and Carnage.

Killswitch is about two cities in utter chaos, with murderous enemies and an unlikely chance of escape for our heroes.

The novel’s theme is that even the most vulnerable characters can be strong. Throughout the story, the reader is drawn closer to the main characters through their weaknesses rather than their strengths.

The book is accessible for most readers aged 13 to 15 as the writing style is not too complex but leaves readers thinking deeply about concepts.

There aren’t any noticeable plot holes and the storyline runs smoothly. By the time you reach the last chapters, you realise you’ve been on a most fascinating journey full of unpredictable turns.

I believe this adventure story is a perfect investment for all of those in need of a novel that is rather small yet also enjoyable in a mature format.

If you have some time during the school holidays, Killswitch is a great read for lovers of short, adventure books.
