SORRY FOR MY PAW DRIVING

- AMANDA ROBBEMOND amanda.robbemond@news.com.au

TIA the greyhound is now in the driver’s seat after receiving her very own licence.

But don’t worry, she won’t be out on the road anytime soon, with the replica licences designed to provide pet owners with an easy way to show their pet’s information, including emergency details.

Tia’s owner, Jackie Mason, arranged the driver’s licence for a bit of fun after spotting them online recently.

“(I ordered) it just for the novelty factor,” Ms Mason said, adding she also loved to share her adventures with 11year-old Tia on the Friends of the Hound Facebook group.

“The money made from them printing the licences goes to a rescue group.”

The licences can include details like phone numbers, microchip numbers, vet details, weight and colour.

Ms Mason said Tia also had a corresponding pet tag.

The Upper Coomera local said her hound loved riding in the car.

“It’s her favourite thing, she’s always keen to go in the car,” she said. As for getting behind the wheel: “I’ve seen the way other people drive, I’d trust her over other people.”
