High cost of Slurpee

KOBI Dawn Chillman probably won’t be buying a Slurpee from 7-Eleven any time soon after the last one she drank cost her more than $200.

The 36-year-old was convicted and fined $100 in her absence at the Southport Magistrates Court by Magistrate John Costanzo yesterday after she stole a cup of the popular frozen beverage from a Surfers Paradise convenience store last year.

Chillman will also be required to pay an offender levy of $114.80.
