THEY might not understand the intricacies of politics but that has not stopped young storytellers using Donald Trump for inspiration.

In fact, Trump is the children’s word of 2017, says the Oxford University Press.

After analysing 131,798 entries for a UK story-writing competition for 5-13-year-olds, the OUP found 2296 mentions of Trump.

The children conjured up words such as Trumplestilskin, Trumpyness and Trumpido, and created characters such as Donald Trout, Hillary Kitten, and Obama Llama.
