RANKED bottom in the Champions Trophy, Pakistan have defied the critics by being first into the final on Monday (Qld time).

A loss to arch-rivals India in their opening match cast doubts over Pakistan’s credentials.

But three straight wins, including an eight-wicket semi-final victory over a confident England, has Pakistan fans crowing.

England won all three group matches and had beaten Pakistan in 12 of their last 14 one-day games.
