MARGOT LENDS SUPPORT TO ULTIMATE PYJAMA PARTY
A-LIST actress Margot Robbie can make anything trendy, even wearing pyjamas as clothes.
Gold Coast pyjama designer Nick Chalmers, of Chalmers Pyjamas, designs wearable pyjamas people can show off to their friends and the movie star has become his unofficial style ambassador.
Robbie has been pictured on social media wearing the trendy sleepwear, including one tagged post in which she lounges by the pool in her robe.
Chalmers said the post increased the label’s fan base by 1000 in one day.
“Margot is very on-brand for us and it’s great that she’s also a local girl,” he said.
Chalmers Pyjamas is giving established sleepwear designer Peter Alexander a run for his money, inking deals to be stocked in international department stores, including Selfridges in the UK and Nordstrom in the US.
“Pyjamas have become a real style statement this season and are no longer just for the bedroom,” Chalmers said.
“I like making pyjamas that are comfortable but that you can also walk the dog in or even go and get a coffee. By wearing pyjamas all the time you can really cut down on your wardrobe size.”
