Husband to be charged

POLICE are hoping the arrest of Sharon Edwards’ estranged husband will lead them to the missing teacher’s remains in northern NSW.

John Edwards, 61, was the last person to see his wife alive at their home in Lawrence, north of Grafton, in March 2015.

He held a tear-filled press conference at the time calling for information to solve the mystery of her disappearance.

But yesterday police arrested Edwards in Redcliffe, Queensland, and he’s to be extradited to NSW today and charged with her murder.
