Dolphins surface for assault on Cup
BROADBEACH United found some welcome form in the past two weeks and now have their sights set on a BLK Cup soccer title as a result.
The Dolphins scored a morale-boosting 2-1 win last-up against Murwillumbah in a Premier League match over the border on Saturday after beating Palm Beach 4-0 the weekend before. Now they will front up to Coomera in a semifinal of the BLK Cup on the Colts’ home turf at Viney Park tonight. The other semi-final is between Coast League club Mudgeeraba and Palm Beach.
This one is scheduled for Sid Bigg Field at Mudgeeraba on Tuesday at 7pm.
Meanwhile the Gold Coast Knights and Burleigh Heads will play their rescheduled Round 14 Premier League fixture on Saturday at the Croatian Sports Centre.
This is the only game on this weekend. Burleigh have another rescheduled match to play against Murwillumbah, pencilled in for Tuesday night, July 11, at Jim Devine Field.
