ROGER Welch, ophthalmologist, has more than eyed off a big Sovereign Island house – he’s paid $6.5 million to own it.

The founder of Southport’s Vision Centre has just been gonged, receiving an OAM in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.

His new six-bedroom Queen Anne Court abode is on a 1464sq m site with a wide water frontage and was built 13 years ago.
