Everest for Caravaggio

UNBEATEN Irish colt Caravaggio has firmed to $7 second favourite for The Everest with Coolmore’s Tom Magnier confirming the Sydney race is a target for the sprinter.

Magnier said Coolmore bought a slot in the $10 million 1200m race at Randwick on October 14 with Caravaggio at the forefront of the organisation’s mind.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained three-year-old added the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup to his record at the Royal Ascot meeting last week to take his record to six wins.

“Aidan is very excited. He says he is the fastest horse that he’s trained,” Magnier said.
