Fox hits form in World Cup

MOTIVATED by a poor race seven days earlier, Sydney’s Jessica Fox produced a flawless performance to win C1 gold at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Germany yesterday.

The Rio Olympic medallist was one of two paddlers who conquered the course without a hiccup. The three-time C1 world champion came home 10sec ahead of her nearest rival.

It was a form reversal for Fox, who a week ago picked up 50sec penalties in both C1 and K1 races in Prague and walked away without a single medal.
